Knowledge of the Soul

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Shaykh Muhammad Nazhim Adil al-Haqqani (q.s.) said, “Taswawwuf is a knowledge from which one learns the state of the human soul, praiseworthy or blameworthy.  If it is blameworthy, he learns how to purify it and enable it, by becoming praiseworthy, to journey to Allah’s (s.w.t.) Divine Presence.  Its fruits are the heart’s development: Knowledge of Allah (s.w.t.), through direct experience; salvation in the next world; triumph through gaining Allah’s Pleasure; the attainment of eternal happiness; and illumination and purification so that noble matters disclose themselves, extraordinary states are revealed, and one perceives what the inside of others is blind to.”
